Yesterday was a dark day. I was hoping that Ron Paul would win the Iowa caucus by a landslide. Ron Paul is the first politician I’ve ever read about or watched that tells the truth, defends personal liberty, and gets his funding from private citizens over special interests. Instead he only got 10%, as opposed to the Huckabee with 34%.

People are so stupid it makes me mad and depressed. How can anyone not vote for Ron Paul? He has bad points, such as being religious, but he represents what this country should stand for and exactly what we need in our current dark days. Instead the usual flip-flopping and pandering wins out. People give up their own freedoms so easily. If Huckabee wins this means another 8 years of Bush-like crusades, financial insolvency, and further destruction and erosion of civil liberties.

I’m going to vote in the CA primaries and I just hope people get a clue and things turn around. Get out there and vote!

Although I am not an america myself, I really like Mr Obama’s statement when he countered Clinton just now.. It says “The real gamble in this election is to do the same things, with the same folks, playing the same games over and over and over again and somehow expect a different result,” he said. “That is a gamble we cannot afford, that is a risk we cannot take. Not this time. Not now. It is time to turn the page.”

He said that when Clinton iterated over Obama being mere talker than do-er, and he is soft of giving false hope (read: over-promise)

And err. what do you think of Huckabee’s promise of no-income tax but purely consumption tax? The idea itself is wonderful, but I am not sure of its actual implementation as this is really a massive change.

Income tax is only about half the tax we pay. The other taxes include inflation, tarries, and subsidies. Only Ron Paul addresses these.

I don’t know much about Obama, but Rush Limbaugh said the media is pushing Huckabee because it would be somebody easy for the Democrats to defeat.
